I attended the 2010 AID program- it was amazing! Highly recommended.
Admission difficulty- picked about 350 volunteers from an applicant pool of about 1100. Volunteers are allowed to apply again, but there are very few repeat volunteers- only about 6 this time around.

I attended it in 2010 also. It was honestly the best summer I ever had. So fun to both hang out with other program volunteers and the kids at the school too. The food in Taiwan was so good.

I attended AID in 2010 and 2011. I had an amazing time both years! Teaching the kids was a fun and rewarding experience and I had a good time with the other volunteers.

It's technically very difficult to get in because, first and foremost, you're competing against other Asians who are just as intelligent and talented (maybe even more so) than you. But that doesn't mean that every person with stellar scores and a polished resume gets in because AID chooses people who can diversify the group.

and also, there were only 7 returning volunteers in 2011 (including myself).

This is really good opportunity for the disabled children and also for the foriegners who can also take part in these summer camp programs. Very few summer camps are conducted for the disable children specially. I appreciate your efforts.
