National Taiwan University Summer Intensive Program for Chinese & Culture

Program Description: "The Exploring Taiwan @ NTU program combines the world renowned International Chinese Language Program (ICLP) with an NTU's extensive Exploring Taiwan courses. Students will gain a unique insight into the Chinese Language as well as a deeper understanding of Taiwan's cultural, historical and social heritage. Exploring Taiwan courses are conducted in English."

Who Should Apply: "International students (including overseas Chinese) currently studying in domestic and international institutions, as well as enrolled exchange students at NTU."

Number of Participants: Maximum of 50.

Program Duration: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-5:00, in the month of July.

Cost: 3000 USD.

Admission Difficulty: Unknown, but possession of the minimum qualifications (i.e. you are a university student) likely will be enough for admission.

Repeat Participants? Probably yes.

The Low-Down: NTU is the most prestigious university in Taiwan. This program appears to be a summer-school type of program where assignments and evaluations are involved. The courses count toward university credits.

Has anyone done this? The application fee is $500 nonrefundable... Really bad if you do not get accepted.

No! you misunderstood!
the application is US$300,and they won't charge the application fee if you don't get accepted!

you can pay the fee after you get the admission.
