Organizer: Taiwanese American Citizens League
Official Program Objective: "The Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL) Summer Political Internship Program, established in 1992, places college students in the offices of state and federal elected officials. Interns work to promote Taiwanese culture, heritage and identity while gaining a greater understanding of the American political system through active, hands-on involvement."
Program Eligibility: "Current or recently graduated college students."
Program Duration: "The 9-week program will begin on Friday, June 11, 2010 and end on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Orientation/opening ceremony will be held on June 11 and the awards/closing ceremony will be held the weekend of August 14, 2010."
Cost: "Each participant is responsible for his or her own transportation during the program. Participants will not receive compensation from the participating offices. Stipend from TACL will be issued dependent upon success of completion of the internship."
